Adzact builds intelligent systems that get businesses together that should be trading.
Most B2B ad spend is wasted on companies that were never going to buy. Adzact fixes that. We use machine learning to analyse a company's existing customers - isolating the structural, behavioural and commercial signals that explain why they buy. We then map the full Total Addressable Market and serve ads only to decision-makers at high-fit companies across TikTok, Pinterest, Spotify, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, Meta and the open web.
We're building the infrastructure layer beneath this - increasingly agentic systems that discover, qualify and reach the right buyers with less and less human intervention. We work with large enterprise brands and we're scaling toward a category-defining position in AI-native B2B demand.
We're hiring a Head of AI and Technology to own this. Not to maintain what exists but to architect the next generation. The platform's foundations were laid by an excellent fractional leader. The next phase needs someone full-time who can push the system toward greater autonomy, faster iteration and deeper technical ambition.
The Role
You will be the technical co-pilot to the CEO, building a platform that defines a new category in agentic demand generation.
You own architecture, modelling strategy, AI integration, engineering standards and technical hiring. But this is bigger than engineering. You'll shape product direction alongside the CEO - translating commercial ambition into technical roadmap, making the calls on what to build, what to buy and what to automate. You'll guide a small team without defaulting to traditional management - this is about setting pace, raising the bar and unblocking the build.
You'll be working at the frontier - designing autonomous systems that discover, qualify and activate demand without human intervention. Shipping and organising the team around agentic engineering workflows. Making architectural bets on agents, orchestration and real-time decisioning that don’t yet have an engineering playbook to follow.
You will operate at the convergence of:
* Autonomous systems that replace manual targeting with intelligent, self-improving agents
* Product development at the pace a category-defining startup demands
* Enterprise-grade delivery that scales revenue without scaling headcount
* AI-native engineering workflows that compress the distance between idea and production
The way software gets built is changing fast. We need someone who's already moving with it. You are building the technical foundation for a multi-billion-pound business - and defining the category as you go.
The role
You own the product and the platform. What gets built, how it's built, and whether it works for customers.
You'll set the technical architecture and the product roadmap. You'll make the calls on what to build, what to buy and what to automate - then make sure it ships. You'll work alongside the CEO to translate commercial ambition into software that compounds Adzact's advantage in the market.
You'll adopt new AI tooling aggressively and push from experiment to production fast. You'll build infrastructure that scales with enterprise clients without scaling the team linearly. When architectural decisions are right, you'll defend them. When the market shifts, you'll move faster.
You'll hire and mentor a small team of high-agency engineers and build a culture of intellectual honesty, full-stack ownership and pace.
Who you are
You've built and shipped products at scale - the full loop from strategy to architecture to production to customer impact. You're as comfortable in a commercial conversation as a technical one. You know SaaS, AI/ML tooling and enthusiastically embrace agentic and LLM patterns as the landscape evolves. We care about what you've shipped and what it did, not where you studied.
Temperament is the most important thing. Energetic but mature. Opinionated but collaborative. Confident without ego. Direct without friction. Commercially literate. Deeply honest about what's working and what isn't.
Former startup founders are likely a great fit. You want to build something that matters and has a defensible edge in 2026.

Bath or London preferred. Remote is possible for the right person but not the default.
