Brighton's most exciting new venue is evolving on Level 3 of Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach! We are excited to bring you on our journey, launching an expansive experience including multiple bars, food offerings, beach club and cabanas overlooking beautiful Botany Bay. We are currently in the final stages of an extensive refurbishment and on track to be one of the best food & beverage, accommodation & event venues in NSW.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Food & Beverage Duty Manager to take the reins of our vibrant bar and food operations across Level 3 of Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach. With multiple bars, dynamic food offerings, and event spaces under your care, this role is all about energy, leadership, and hustle. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering memorable guest experiences, overseeing day-to-day service, managing inventory, coordinating events, and driving team culture. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to bring fresh ideas, motivate a team, and own the floor in one of Sydney’s most exciting new hospitality spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily bar and food operations across multiple outlets, ensuring smooth, efficient service and a fun, welcoming atmosphere
Be a visible leader on the floor, acting as the face of the venue by engaging with guests and setting the standard for service excellence
Own inventory management: ordering, stock control, and ensuring bars and outlets are always ready for service
Oversee event bookings and work closely with the team to ensure seamless execution of functions and activations
Train, mentor, and develop team members to build product knowledge, consistency, and strong service skills
Collaborate with the kitchen, events, and leadership teams to deliver a cohesive, high-quality guest experience
Assist in rostering and labour management to meet service needs while keeping costs on track
Champion compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements
About You:
Previous experience in a bar, venue, or F&B leadership role, ideally in a multi-outlet or high-volume environment
Strong bar operations background with solid food knowledge and a passion for great hospitality
A confident, natural leader who loves developing teams and creating a positive workplace culture
Skilled in inventory management and stock control
Proven ability to manage and execute event operations
The ability to work a rotating flexible roster, including weekends, public holidays and evenings
RSA certified (RCG not required)
A current police check (or willingness to obtain one)
