Job Title: Temporary Maintenance Lead
Pay Rate: $35/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
Position Summary
Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for maintenance? We are looking for a Maintenance Lead to take charge of our plant maintenance operations! In this role, you will oversee everything from equipment to facility systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
If you have a solid understanding of electrical systems and experience with fillers, labelers, boilers, compressors, and mixers, we want to hear from you! You’ll be performing and delegating tasks such as:
* Replacing tabletop conveyors
* Installing conduit and wiring
* Repairing regulators
* Replacing motors
You'll also support capital projects, manage spare parts inventory, and collaborate with various departments to uphold quality, food safety, and workplace safety standards. This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and enhance the plant’s preventive maintenance (PM) program in partnership with the supervisor.
* Perform hands-on maintenance tasks and delegate duties effectively.
* Coordinate and schedule maintenance work orders, vendor services, and capital project execution.
* Review maintenance logs daily and assign follow-up actions.
* Maintain an inventory of tools, spare parts, and critical components.
* Support startup activities by training operators and troubleshooting equipment issues.
* Lead maintenance team meetings and contribute to interdepartmental discussions.
* Support performance reviews and coach team members for improvement.
* Ensure the maintenance shop is clean, organized, and sanitary.
* Participate actively in team-building and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Lead additional projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or electromechanical roles.
* Trade school diploma or technical certifications (preferred).
* Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
* Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
* Fluency in English is required; Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
* Ability to work occasional weekends as needed.
* Self-motivated, dependable, and a collaborative team player.
* Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
