Production Manager
Trafford Park, Manchester, £50,000 per annum, Full-time | Monday to Friday | 44 hours per week
I am working with a highly reputable manufacturing business in Manchester to find a new Site Production Manager to take over the responsibility of their factory operations and lead a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
As Site Production Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy production facility. You will ensure that operations are efficient, targets are met, and quality and safety standards are consistently upheld. The Production Manager role requires strong leadership, hands-on problem solving, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement across all areas of production.
* Manage the daily production workflow to meet schedule and output targets
* Uphold health & safety and quality standards across all site operations
* Oversee materials control to ensure stock availability and smooth production
* Implement and sustain 5S workplace organisation and lean manufacturing principles
* Lead and develop a team through coaching, performance reviews and training
* Identify risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
* Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and provide regular updates on KPIs
* Maintain accurate production and attendance records
* Contribute to planning meetings and operational strategy discussions
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
* Exceptional people management and communication skills
* Hands-on, resilient, and proactive approach to solving operational challenges
* Ability to lead by example, inspire teams, and manage performance
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
