Field Service Engineer & Product Support Specialist Location: Central Belt, Scotland (Field/Home-Based)

Are you a skilled engineer ready to take the next step into a more customer-facing, strategic role? We’re looking for a proactive and technically strong Field Service Engineer & Product Support Specialist to join a market-leading manufacturer of high-performance construction equipment.
This hybrid role offers the perfect balance of hands-on fieldwork and technical support, ideal for someone who thrives on variety, autonomy, and problem-solving.
What You'll Be Doing: Field Service (60%)
1. Carry out diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy plant and road construction machinery
2. Support national key accounts and dealer locations across Glasgow and Inverness
3. Assist with machine handovers, commissioning, and breakdowns
4. Provide technical help to customer workshops and resolve complex issues
5. Deliver outstanding service to ensure long-term customer satisfaction
Product Support (40%)
6. Provide technical support via phone, email, and in person
7. Conduct training sessions for customers and dealers
8. Support product launches and software upgrades
9. Evaluate warranty claims and contribute to technical reporting
10. Act as the link between field feedback and engineering teams
11. Create service bulletins and technical guides
What We're Looking For:
12. Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Plant, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
13. 3–5 years' experience working with heavy plant or construction equipment
14. Strong fault-finding and diagnostics skills (mechanical and electrical)
15. Valid CSCS card
16. Confident communicator who’s comfortable delivering training and working directly with clients
17. Commercially aware and able to represent the brand professionally
18. Highly self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
