Mid-Weight Interior Designer / Architect
London / Hybrid
Full-time, Permanent
The Role
We’re hiring a Mid-Weight Interior Designer / Architect to lead the design development of live projects and help evolve our studio standards.
You’ll refine spatial concepts, craft detailed technical drawings, and work closely with our senior team to deliver beautiful, intelligent interiors.
You’ll also have the opportunity to work on several Microsoft projects, helping to shape forward‑thinking workplaces that reflect the intersection of design, technology, and human experience.
We’re a design‑led practice first – but we’re also curious about how innovation and data can enhance what we do.
If you’re a strong designer with an open mind, this is your opportunity to help shape a studio that’s redefining how design and creativity meet.
Objective: Deliver thoughtful, crafted interiors – and contribute to the studio’s growth and design processes
Timeline: Immediate start with long‑term progression opportunities
Outcome: Intelligent, elegant interiors executed with precision and creativity
What You’ll Do
* Develop design concepts from brief through to technical delivery.
* Produce drawings and documentation in AutoCAD and Revit to a high standard.
* Lead space planning, finishes, and furniture selections.
* Create design presentations, boards, and visual narratives for client reviews.
* Collaborate with suppliers, consultants, and contractors across all stages.
* Help standardise design templates, detail libraries, and studio workflows.
* Engage with new technologies and AI tools to support visualisation and documentation.
* Support site coordination and ensure design integrity during construction.
* Contribute to workplace and experience design for Microsoft, alongside other major clients.
What You’ll Bring
* 3–5 years’ experience in an interior design or architecture studio.
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (essential).
* Confident in space planning, material specification, and technical detailing.
* Excellent design sensibility with a sharp eye for proportion, light, and material balance.
* Clear communication and collaboration skills.
* Curiosity about how technology can support better design outcomes, while maintaining a design‑first mindset.
* Bonus: Familiarity with Enscape, Twinmotion, or Adobe CC; scripting (Python) or computational design experience a plus.
What Success Looks Like in Your First Year
* Projects delivered on time, to a consistently high technical and aesthetic standard.
* Clear, well‑structured drawing sets and specifications.
* Positive client feedback on design quality and collaboration.
* Noticeable contribution to improving studio systems and detail libraries.
* Confidently delivering on high‑profile projects – including Microsoft’s workplace environments.
Salary: £TBC depending on experience but competitive.
Health insurance, life insurance, and pension as standard.
Hybrid working — typically 3 days in studio, 2 remote.
20 days annual leave + bank holidays.
Annual training and development budget (CPD, software, design research).
A supportive, low‑ego culture that values craft, creativity, and curiosity.
