Description
We are currently forward planning for future roles that may become available as an ATG Operator based in Ipswich area. If you are successful in your application, you will be placed in our Talent Bank for up to six months. If a suitable opportunity becomes available during that time, you may be offered a role. Positions may be available as Static or Relief roles, on either a full-time (35 hours) or part-time basis.
Static
* Static roles offer a consistent shift pattern, giving you visibility of your shifts for the full year.
* Location: Ipswich Station
Relief
* Relief roles provide flexibility, with weekly rosters issued one week before the shift.
* Location: Ipswich & Colchester stations (shift begins & ends at Ipswich).
Please note that we are unable to accept your application if you do not meet the following criteria.
* Shift-based, including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and bank holidays. Earliest shift is from 0500am, and latest shift finishes by 2300pm.
* Shifts range from 8 to 10 hours & average 35 hours per week (not including Sundays)
* You must be able to arrange your own transport for early/late shifts.
* Full training provided and uniform provided
* Candidates will be subject to a Right to Work check & DBS check for this position.

Key Responsibilities
As an ATG Operator, you’ll be the friendly face of Greater Anglia, delivering exceptional customer service while helping passengers travel smoothly and safely. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Assisting customers at the gateline and ensuring the safe, tidy and efficient operation of the gates
* Helping to prevent ticketless travel and fraudulent activity
* Reporting any faults and issues promptly
* Able to safely operate customer access ramps and assist passengers with their luggage.
* Providing support to visually impaired customers, who may need to hold your arm or lean on you for guidance.

With a team of around 3,000 colleagues, we operate 134 stations throughout Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk. Greater Anglia also operate Stansted Express services between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport.
