Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Shift Pattern: Panama Shift - 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm) / Monday - Friday - No Weekends!
Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be part of a close-knit team responsible for maintaining specialist machinery and equipment across the site. You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and ensure smooth factory operations.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair production equipment and machinery
* Perform site-wide preventative maintenance
* Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
* Support factory start-up and equipment testing
* Complete documentation accurately and on time
Qualifications
* Recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Strong mechanical background in maintenance
* Experience in a controlled manufacturing environment (food industry experience is a plus)
* Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Understanding of statutory requirements and food safety
* Proactive approach to health and safety
