Location:Thornicombe, Dorset
Hours: Sundays – 4 or 6 hour shifts, e.g. 8.30am to 12.30pm or 2.30pm, this will be a 2:1, regular shift.
School Holiday Hours: Monday to Friday daytime shifts, typically 8.30am to 5.30pm, longer shifts may be required.
Bank Hours available to cover absences for the current Support Workers in term time. Typical shifts during term times are Monday to Wednesday between 3.30pm to 7.30pm, Thursdays 2.30pm to 6.30pm and Fridays 2.30pm to 7.30pm.
Pay:
1. £16.00 per hour Weekdays
2. £17.00 per hour Weekends and Bank Holidays.

Job Summary
We are seeking a patient, caring and reliable support worker to support our client, Jemima, born in. Jemima is a happy and sociable little girl who lives with her parents and sister; her older half siblings come to stay once a week and in the holidays. Jemima enjoys watching CocoMelon and Peppa Pig, she also loves 1:1 play, music, playing with water and being pushed on her swing.
Jemima was born with a chromosomal syndrome and has an associated learning disability and developmental delay. She is making progress with her verbal speech; she has an increasing vocabulary of words she uses regularly, and she will repeat words back to you. Jemima can mobilise independently for short distances but can be unsteady on her feet. Jemima lacks safety awareness and displays sensory seeking behaviours, she must be supervised at all times.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
13. Supporting in all activities of daily living to include personal care

15. Facilitate access to leisure activities outside of the family home on a 2:1 basis
16. Assist in therapeutic programmes at the guidance of the team of therapists
17. Working co-operatively with Jemima’s parents and the Case Manager
