Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management.
* Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as necessary.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
* Engage with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
* Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and training.
* Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hospitality.
* Excellent leadership abilities with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
