We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Vocational & Childcare Tutor to join our Wolverhampton centre on a full-time maternity cover basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners in developing vocational skills, employability, and childcare knowledge within a positive and engaging learning environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to learners studying vocational and childcare-related programmes. You will help learners build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering engaging vocational and childcare sessions
* Supporting learners to achieve qualifications and personal targets
* Embedding employability, maths, English and personal development into delivery
* Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records
* Providing pastoral support and motivation to learners
* Contributing to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
* Passionate about education and supporting young people
* Experienced in delivering vocational and/or childcare training
* Able to engage and motivate learners with varying needs and abilities
* Organised, proactive and able to manage learner progress effectively
* Confident working both independently and as part of a team
Essential Requirements
* Experience delivering vocational and/or childcare qualifications
* A relevant vocational qualification in Childcare or related subject
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Experience working with young people
Desirable
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
* Experience delivering Functional Skills or employability
* Experience within alternative provision or post-16 education
