Opportunity to join a business with great development prospects as the Category Procurement Manager – Utilities/Capex.
If you’re an experienced strategic sourcing procurement professional with strong experience spanning utilities and Cap Ex spend this is a great opportunity. My client is a market leading FMCG business supplying into all of the major retailers in the UK. They’ve experienced significant top line and profit growth over the last few years and have a well-respected procurement team in place so it’s a great opportunity to join this progressive, exciting organisation. I’m looking for a strategic procurement professional to manage the Group spend across the utilities category, as well as being a lead around Cap Ex spend.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Define, execute, and implement sourcing strategies for utilities spend across the group, delivering best value in terms of quality, price, cost, service, innovation and support
2. Work with other sites to assist in the preparation of tenders and implementation of plans for their categories
3. Work with varying stakeholders overcoming any quality service or other issues and ensuring no interruptions in day-to-day business
4. Prepare annual budgets for your categories
5. Continually seek commercial advantage throughout the company and help other budget holders achieve their targets
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have previous utilities procurement experience within a large, blue-chip business. A real influencer, you need evidence of exposure to a wide range of categories with a strong track record of results and great people management skills. Your stakeholder management skills will be your key strength with the ability to work in a complex, fast paced business. A true category management approach to procurement is essential.
