OTE £50,000 per annum (made up of basic pay, overtime, on call allowance and bonuses)

Working Conditions
Work flexible hours, weekends and participate in an on‑call rota. Full training, PPE and company equipment will be provided to enable safe, competent performance of drainage engineering duties.
About the Role
Supporting the Utility Division on the Thames Water contract, you will travel to residential sites in a HGV as part of a two‑person team, using high‑pressure water jets for restoration, cleaning and maintaining drainage systems, running diagnostics, repairs, and recording job reports on specialist equipment.
* Travel to residential sites via a HGV in a two‑person team, around the region, powering a high‑pressure water jet for restoration
* Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems
* Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided
* Run diagnostics and repairs on drains
* Deliver good customer service
* Maintain good health and safety practice while carrying out works
* Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished
* Comply with health and safety responsibilities, i.e. PPE / safe site setups protecting Lanes Group employees, the public and other road users
* Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
* Operate JHL specification vacuum tankers and associated equipment
* Safely access vehicle cabs, sites and offices using correct procedures (e.g., three points of contact…)
* Manipulate flexible pipework in a safe manner utilising correct manual handling techniques
* Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE or utilising the lone worker system
* Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions depending on specific circumstances on arrival
* Liaise with the client regarding process and any updates
* Provide support to colleagues
* Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment and plant before and after use
* Report any defects or malfunctions
* Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception
* Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them
* Any other reasonable ad‑hoc tasks, duties or projects as requested by management
About You
Hard‑working, respectful, compliant with health and safety standards. Experience with high‑pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA, confined spaces) are an advantage.
You must have a minimum of an HGV Class 2 licence, completed Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and an up‑to‑date digi tachograph card.
