Immigration disputes lawyer

We are working with a leading national law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Litigation & Immigration team within their Belfast office.

The Role

The successful candidate will join an esteemed Immigration team, working on litigation and all aspects of both corporate and personal immigration matters. The candidate’s work will cover Visa applications and extensions, family and private life applications, and skilled Worker and sponsorship matters. The candidate’s duties will also include judicial review litigation, preparing applications for administrative reviews, preparing briefs to counsel, and researching and analysing documents and case law to ensure the accuracy of advice and procedure.

The candidate will play a key role in advising the firm’s client base on contentious immigration matters, including settlement and citizenship applications, appeals and general immigration advice, and judicial review litigation.

Essential Criteria

• 1-5 PQE;
• Strong background in litigation and immigration law. Experience in public law advantageous;
• Excellent commercial awareness;
• Outstanding academics;
• Technically excellent;
• Negotiation skills;
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
