We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team, based at The London Clinic in Central London.
As a Rotational Pharmacy Technician, you will participate in a safe, efficient and accurate, technician led pharmacy operational service across all sites at The London Clinic.
This is a rotational post through Dispensary, Distribution, Procurement with eventual addition of Ward services.
The post holder will ensure that the services are delivered in a safe, effective, economic and timely manner and will be responsible for ensuring that all documentation and procedures are carried out in accordance with current legislation and guidelines.
Key Duties
* Participate in the provision of a safe, efficient and accurate dispensing service to all pharmacy users, including the dispensing of controlled drugs.
* To support and direct work flow of all dispensary staff, ensuring SOPs are followed and standards are maintained.
* To manage day to day ordering of medicinal products.
* To raise consumable and Total parenteral nutrition (TPN) orders to suppliers and central stores in the absence of Pharmacy administrative assistant
* To support the Senior Pharmacy Technician (Medicines Management) and ward pharmacists in managing an efficient, accurate and flexible near patient service to the hospital wards.
Skills & Experience
* NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3/ with accredited underpinning knowledge (BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and the Practice of Pharmacy Technicians) or Equivalent.
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
* Evidence of CPD (continuing professional development)
* Experience of working in an acute hospital setting.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent)
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
* Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Experience
* Private Hospital/ NHS experience
