Nursing Assistant

We are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals to join our Gastro team on Ward 15 at North Tyneside General Hospital as Nursing Assistants.
They will provide high standards of safe care to all patients suffering from medical gastroenterology illnesses.

Main duties of the job
* Undertake a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community, and other settings.
* Record patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions.
* Carry out limited clinical care duties.
* Demonstrate compassion and care towards patients and deliver high standards of care.
* Possess good communication and organisational skills.
* Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and night shifts, to meet service needs.

Job responsibilities
* Assist qualified nursing staff in delivering high-quality direct and indirect patient care.
* Support patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
* Maintain high clinical standards.
* Help ensure a clean and safe ward environment.
* Work under supervision of a qualified nurse, assisting in implementing patient care plans.
* Provide and promote high-quality care under professional guidance.
Person Specification
Qualifications / Professional Registration
* Completion of a competency-based programme or equivalent relevant experience.
* Level 3 qualification in a healthcare-related subject or demonstrable equivalent experience.
Experience and knowledge
* Previous care experience in health or social care settings.
* Evidence of completed competencies related to the service area.
* Customer Care course.

Salary: £24,937 to £26,598 per year, pro-rata.
