Job title: Advanced Apprentice Fabricator
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Starting from 18,667 with annual progression through the scheme duration.
What youll be doing:

* Fabrication and Installation Training Learn to fabricate and install sub-assemblies and major assemblies using tools for marking out, thermal cutting, and welding.
* Structural Assembly and Equipment Operation Build components like shell plates, decks, and bulkheads, and operate overhead cranes, chain blocks, and hydraulic pumps to erect major units.
* Technical Drawing Interpretation Develop skills in reading steelwork drawings, engineering symbols, and conventions to guide precise fabrication and outfitting tasks.
* Health and Safety Expertise Gain extensive safety training in working at height, confined spaces, PPE usage, and dynamic risk assessment, progressing toward the Gold Passport standard.
* Core Fabrication Skills Development Master platework assembly, abrasive wheel handling, shipbuilding terminology, and welding techniques including MMA, Oxy-fuel, and Plasma cutting, earning a tack welding qualification.
