Position Purpose
Leading fabrication team through our manufacturing process, delivering quality projects to our clients, meeting delivery deadlines, Problem solving and fabricating conforming products. Working closely with Manufacturing manager to meet budget and output targets set out by project requirements. Responsible to work individually and within, maintain and develop enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team and create effective working relationships which in turn successfully deliver quality projects. Share, mentor & develop skill sets with team members to help develop/grow the team dynamics. Support & Maintain company standards within training, working practices and processes, Health & Safety and continue improvement, not only as an individual but in a team environment and report deficiencies and also successes and recommend & implement improvements to our manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
* Read, interpret, follow engineering drawings & ensure implementation according to weld procedure specification (WPS)
* Engage in root cause analysis and resolve problems.
* Liaise with other departments to ensure efficient project delivery.
* Participate and give input in the creation and signing off production estimates.
* Ensure team productivity level is achieved daily.
* Feedback progress of team performance daily.
* Identify & deploy skillset needed within team to deliver projects.
* Feedback team individuals performance.
* Ensure team work within & according to health & safety guidelines to maintain personal and others safety.
* Report all team disciplinary/standards issues to Manufacturing Manager.
* Competent in utilizing various hand & power tools.
* Competent in operating measuring tools such as tape measures, weld gauges etc.
* Work to process, incorporating SSOW’s/Quality standards.
* Periodically check all equipment is maintained to high standards and report issues.
* Evaluate materials/parts etc before activities carried out and on completion of assemblies conform to quality checks. Report via NCR if any issues.
* Maintain clean & safe working environment.
* Comply with clock procedures to comply with company processes.
* Be flexible to perform duties throughout other departments.
* Engage in personal development programs/Training.
* Operate within individual & team environment maintaining work ethics individually and alongside other team members.
* Ownership/Identification of all fabrication (Marking/Labelling of assemblies manufactured)
* Communication between line manager/colleagues.
Position Requirements
* Significant experience as Welder/Fabricator
* Coded or able to pass coding of company requirements
* Complete all relevant department certification, Manual handling etc
* Able to work within company Health & Safety guidelines
