Meridian Business Support are recruitingfor a Porter for their prestigious client based in Derby. The role is working Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5:00pm (including a one-hour lunch break). The individual must be fully trained in manual handling and a valid and up to date DBS check is desirable. The primary responsibilities of the role include: Perform porterage duties, including setting up rooms for lectures, meetings, events, room moves, and the movement of furniture, equipment, and materials across campus. Receive, dispatch, and deliver mail, parcels, stationery, and goods between campuses, including covering post rounds and post room duties whenrequired. Accurately complete delivery documentation, asset logs, mail tracking records, and electronic systems to meet audit, security, and accountability requirements. Handle sensitive, fragile, confidential, or high-value items in line with manual handling procedures and security protocols. Work flexibly across the Estate Management department, acting as relief Porter on any University site and adjusting working hours or duties to meet operational needs. Support the Universitys commitment to health and safety, sustainability, and a safe, welcoming environment for all staff, students, and visitors. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the line manager. The role is to start Temporary with a pay rate of £12.98 and training can be given upon starting.
