BAM Nuttall is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the North East of England. Having recently secured several projects in this area, we offer a great opportunity for a collaborative and enthusiastic professional to support our growing business with significant potential for development.
Your Responsibilities
* Maintain high safety and environmental standards per company policy
* Communicate effectively with your team
* Manage, supervise, and mentor your direct reports
* Handle commercial aspects with supply chain partners, including pre-contract meetings and subcontract documentation
* Manage subcontractor contracts, payments, final accounts, and dispute resolution
* Provide reliable cost performance data and assist in reporting
* Manage change, risk, and opportunity protocols
* Ensure timely payment applications according to contractual conditions
* Participate in site commercial meetings and advise the team
* Organize your workload and that of your commercial team efficiently
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with core commercial skills
* Ability to mentor and coach team members
* Strong collaboration skills with project teams, clients, and designers
* Team player with a positive influence on project outcomes
