We are seeking a skilled and adaptable SEN Teacher with QTS to work on a supply basis within a specialist setting in Shepton Mallet.
This role offers flexibility, with both part-time and full-time opportunities available from September 2026 (Earlier start date may be possible), with the potential to support learners across a wide age range from 4 to 18.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
* Support pupils with autism spectrum conditions and associated challenges
* Maintain a structured, calm and positive classroom environment
* Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of abilities
* Work collaboratively with staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing
Skills and Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
* Minimum of 6 months childcare experience, ideally supporting SEN pupils
* Strong communication skills and emotional resilience
* Ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners
* Calm, flexible and able to adapt to changing situations
* Passion for supporting children’s independence and wellbeing
