Research Associate Position We are seeking a Research Associate to join our project funded by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The project focuses on amplifying the voices of elite youth athletes (under 18), emphasizing children's rights as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), particularly Article 12 on the right to be heard.
The project employs the Lundy model of child participation as its analytical framework to evaluate how sport organizations facilitate young athletes' influence in decision-making processes. It involves a qualitative research design, including semi-structured interviews and focus groups, to explore the perspectives of young athletes and sport organization representatives.
The goal is to promote a more inclusive, athlete-centered sporting environment by elevating young athlete voices.

Position Details This is a part-time, fixed-term role until 31st August 2027. The salary starts from £35,116 (Subject to annual pay awards), within the Specialist and Supporting Academic Research Grade 6.
