Description Job Title: Principal Engineer - Highways Development Management Salary: £53,460 – £61,638 per annum Grade: G Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: 37 hours per week The Highways Department is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of key transport related projects and policies, ranging from development of Thurrock’s Local Plan through to highways improvement schemes, to development of key transport policy The post is within the Highways Development Management that is responsible for: The development and implementation of new transport infrastructure schemes The development of the future highway improvement programme for the Local Plan Transportation Policy development Planning advice for new development The post holder will join a busy and dynamic working environment as Principal Engineer, responsible for the leading of a team to fulfil the delivery of key targets. Ensuring development proposals take place with adequate transport infrastructure to enable continued growth and compliance with the Council’s corporate objectives and policies.
