Overview
I am currently recruiting for a Junior Product Developer to join a market leading clothing company based at their UK Head Office in Manchester. You will be responsible for supporting the Product Development team and developing the own brand offerings. Working closely with the design and Buying teams, your responsibility is to ensure that products are continuously improved whilst maintaining technical quality levels and meeting sales margin targets.
Responsibilities
* Manage all incoming/outgoing samples with correct documentation.
* Assist with weekly trade preparation including Best and Worst, sample rails and product tags.
* Ensure style details/info is correct and up to date on the system.
* Assist with tech packs and costing on the system.
* Attend fit sessions and add fit comments.
* Conduct regular QC checks with warehouse.
* Assist with sample measuring and comments.
* Ensure the critical path is up to date on the system by chasing relevant info from suppliers and reporting issues ahead of time.
* Monitor test reports, care-label submissions and approvals.
* Assist with the approval of Lab dips and submissions.
* Assist with size charts, costing, negotiation and raising of orders.
* Manage barcode requests and approvals.
* Chase suppliers for press samples and send to relevant teams.
* Attend meetings and ensure notes are written up, distributed and followed up in a timely manner.
Qualifications
* Previous experience of working within Fashion Product development.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good organisation skills.
* Strong IT skills with an overall understanding of all MS Office packages.
* Relevant level qualifications/experience which incorporates Clothing Technology and Product development.
