Contract | Full-time | Competitive Daily Rate | Duration: Interim/contract – 3 months
Sheridan Maine are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client in Weymouth for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established organisation, supporting their finance team during a busy period.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate and timely management and statutory accounts.
* Maintain the general ledger and ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are up to date.
* Produce month-end and year-end reporting packs, including analysis and commentary for management.
* Manage accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
* Review and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
* Liaise with auditors and assist with audit preparation.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
* Experience preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, and supporting audits.
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles
* Ideally trained in practice, with experience in a professional accounting environment.
* Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

* Location: Weymouth (some hybrid working may be considered)
* Duration: Interim/contract – 3 months
* Competitive daily rate, depending on experience
