Job Overview
Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust seeks an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Specialist Mental Health Recovery service based at Latton Bush, Harlow. The role covers the North Harlow primary care networks and is part of the West Essex Integrated Care System. PCN clinics are being developed locally to replace the current referral system to a First Response Team. Consultants will provide consultative input to the PCN MHPs and direct patients into clinics when secondary care input is required, with further development as the transformation progresses.
Main Duties
The team delivers community services for patients referred to secondary mental health care by GP surgeries within the neighbourhood teams in Harlow North, serving an adult population of approximately 21,000. The post holder will be part of the senior management team and play an integral role in developing and improving the service. The position requires working independently and accountably as part of a multidisciplinary clinician team, delivering 24/7, 365 days a year care in collaboration with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners.
Qualifications
Candidate must have full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register, with an appropriate CCT or equivalent, or be within six months of obtaining a CCT on the date of the application.
