Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.
What You’ll Do
As a Field Maintenance Engineer supporting Vodafone’s strategic telecommunications network across Scotland, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellence for our customer. You’ll be part of a team responsible for Routine Maintenance & Inspection (RMI) activities under the Assure contract, working across Scottish Power’s infrastructure and its interfaces with SSEN and National Grid networks.
You will:
* Deliver professional field engineering services for RMI activities across multiple contract sites
* Collaborate with project and senior engineers to execute planned maintenance throughout the year
* Ensure all work aligns with Vodafone and client expectations for quality, safety, and performance
* Complete and submit technical reports based on equipment testing, ensuring accurate data upload to SPEN’s systems
* Identify and manage risks while upholding health & safety standards individually and as part of a team
* Apply your technical knowledge of networking principles in a telecoms high-voltage (HV) environment
* Contribute to successful project delivery through hands-on implementation and problem-solving
Who You Are
* Exceptional organisation skills
* Assure/Maintenance activity experience
* Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work to the applicable quality standards
* Knowledge of AC/DC battery competence, installation/testing, identifying failing battery cells.
* Knowledge of testing DC battery systems at different levels including discharge testing.
* Knowledge of microwave systems that are required to have routine maintenance completed.
* Experience in maintaining monitoring and troubleshooting networks and systems
* Proven track record in the installation and support of DC Chargers of various types, understanding of Microwave radio technologies
