This position is part of the Glasgow Finance COO team, which supports the local Head of Finance, the senior management team and the broader Office of the COO for Finance regionally and globally. The team is responsible is to oversee and manage the day to day operations of Glasgow Finance organisation, provide business performance metrics, reporting and manage people & communication strategy. This is with an aim to generate effectiveness within the organisation and also to support senior management in their operational and strategic decision making. The role is part of a local team of 3. {B Standard Description of Division and JA Job Family} In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm?s financial and capital resources. Leveraging global data sources and collaborating with global colleagues to ensure efficiency and consistency. > Prepare a range of materials for departmental communications, both cyclical and ad hoc in nature; ranging from local department wide communications right through to targeted materials on specific topics for senior global stakeholders, > Provide project management support, and perform delegated duties, pertaining the COO portfolio of responsibilities. This includes key Finance people committees, cross office networks, global relationships, and key people processes relating to talent attraction and retention (promo and recruitment). > As part of a team of three, support colleagues in the execution of broader office management duties pertaining to space, events and other logistical matters. > Liaise across a broad range of local and global colleagues and stakeholders at all levels as necessary for the above items. - [IF PEOPLE MANANGER] Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function {D Part 2: Scope of Role ?What you?ll bring?} What you'll bring to the role: - In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment - Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities - Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes > Experienced in a Business Management or Project Management role, ideally in accounting/finance industries. > Analytical - combining critical thinking and initiative; understands how to break down a problem and apply a practical solution. > Articulate - can leverage exemplary written and verbal communication skills to convey a variety of information to a variety of audiences using a variety of formats; can interpret requirements and develop written or visual communications for dissemination. > Technical - Proficient in Excel including pivot tables, formulas and data manipulation, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint.
