Alliance Personnel are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Operative to join one of our clients based in Birmingham.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing various tasks that support production and maintenance. This position requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Duties
* Assist in the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
* Operate machinery and equipment as required, following all safety protocols.
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Support the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
* Report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
Skills
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork.
* Basic understanding of machinery operation is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
* Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items as required.
* A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 6am - 2:30pm and 2:30pm - 10pm (40hrs per week)
