Senior Buyer @ THE OUTNET, 1 Year Fixed Term Contract. THE OUTNET is the online destination for luxury fashion from previous seasons, offering past-season womenswear and menswear, including exclusive capsules, from world-leading designer brands. Our mission is to extend the life of luxury beyond the current season with a Considered edit of more responsible fashion and upcycled product collaborations. THE OUTNET is part of LuxExperience, a leading digital, multi-brand luxury group.
Location: Our office in Westfield. Reporting into: Head of Buying.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for the global buy budget and buy strategy for the Designer department.
* Negotiate all trade terms, conditions and deliveries to ensure a consistent flow of stock to maximize sales and margin and to mitigate operational costs.
* Negotiate with suppliers to secure exclusive ranges/brands and optimize profit margin.
* Manage and flex OTB within Brands to hit quarterly targets while remaining opportunistic to maximize returns.
* Proactively source products globally, develop existing relationships and foster new ones, including international travel.
* Apply strong knowledge of the luxury market to identify new brand and product opportunities and implement strategies to increase buy and secure new brands.
* Maintain and develop best position with vendors to ensure exclusivity or first point of contact for off-price activity.
* Collaborate with Merchandising to analyze weekly reports, review risks and maximize opportunities.
* Monitor deliveries and vendor performance and take decisive actions to meet targets.
* Keep up-to-date with competitor knowledge in off-price and full-price sectors to maintain THE OUTNET as a premier off-price destination.
* Develop and present product and brand strategies to internal teams (Marketing, Upload, Editorial) to meet global customer demand.
* Manage and develop the Buy team, providing regular feedback and driving development and motivation to retain talent.
* Provide feedback on departmental performance to the Buying Manager and Head of Buying.
Qualifications & Skills
* Significant commercial experience in a Buying role.
* Multi-brand designer relationships are essential.
* Extensive experience in luxury fashion retailing within a multi-brand environment.
* Entrepreneurial spirit with the creative flair to drive a business forward.
* Proven experience trading in a fast-paced and reactive environment with a track record of positive business impact through buying strategy.
* Good judgement and decision-making skills with the ability to assess calculated risks.
* Off-price experience is not required but enthusiasm and interest are desirable.
* Exceptional people management experience.
* Proven networking and negotiation abilities.
* Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Desire to deliver exceptional customer value and experience.
* Very organized, methodical and efficient with self-motivation and initiative.
