The Role
We are seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met
* Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials
* Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
* Stay current with developments in your field and student support practices
* Work toward objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression
About You
* Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
* Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
* Possess extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
* Have experience supervising student work and providing feedback
* Maintain accurate reporting and thorough student records
* Work well under pressure, prioritising workload to meet deadlines
* Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
* Work effectively with diverse groups of people
Desirable
* Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commit to enrolling on a teaching programme within three years of probation
* Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes
