Job Overview
Permanent, part‑time (30 hours per week). The role includes evening shifts, nights, weekends and lone working across several sites. Flexible hours can be negotiated during the interview.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support a team to achieve service goals, including regular supervision, coaching, reflective practice and team meetings.
* Assist the contract and performance manager in ensuring the service is fully operational, that clients receive appropriate support, and that KPIs are met.
* Manage attendance, performance, quality assurance, and staff‑related queries.
* Attend meetings with other agencies, services, stakeholders or commissioners to provide high‑quality support, manage risks and support service funding.
* Increase the service’s presence in the local area, engage with communities and external partners, and help win tenders and maintain contracts.
* Plan team rota, taking training and absence into account to ensure capacity and prioritise high‑risk referrals.
* Support team workload and a small caseload of clients.
* Participate in staff recruitment.
* Respond timely and appropriately to safeguarding issues, following the safeguarding policy and relevant local authority procedures.
* Collate data and generate reports as required.
* Provide trauma‑informed and psychologically informed support to clients and staff.
* Maintain health and safety standards, provide basic first aid until help arrives, and work efficiently when lone.
* Ensure accurate records on the client management system and comply with GDPR through regular quality checks.
* Maintain confidentiality and carry out any other reasonable duties in the interest of the organisation.

Role Requirements
* Enhanced DBS with barred list(s) disclosure and barring service check.
* Full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
* Flexibility to work across several sites.
* One‑to‑one client work.
* Potential night and/or weekend on‑call work.
* Lone working capability.
Essential Criteria
* Experience in residential, institutional or similar sector.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Clear English language proficiency.
* Strong keyboard skills for data input.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
* Confident and assertive manner.
* Strong teamwork and crisis response skills.
* Calm response to challenging situations.
* Interest and genuine concern for homelessness and related issues.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in a leadership role.
* Understanding of complex support needs for people experiencing homelessness.
* Knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies, housing regulations and the benefits system.
* Understanding of risk assessment and person‑centred, outcomes‑based delivery.
