This field-based role will take ownership of a high-value territory across North West England, managing existing key accounts while developing new business opportunities across multiple industrial sectors.

The Role

As Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new market opportunities across your region.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and grow an established customer base across North West England

* Develop strategic relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, end users, integrators, and engineering decision-makers

* Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities through proactive business development

* Deliver consultative, solution-led technical sales presentations and proposals

* Conduct site visits, technical surveys, and customer needs analysis

* Provide commercial quotations, tender responses, and pricing negotiations

* Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to close

* Use CRM systems to track activity, forecasts, opportunities, and KPIs

* Collaborate with internal engineering, customer service, and operations teams to deliver best-in-class solutions

* Increase market share through territory planning and strategic account penetration

* Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market intelligence

* Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events

* Deliver against monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking ambitious, credible, and energetic sales professionals with the technical capability to engage confidently with engineers, buyers, and senior stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

* Degree/Qualifications in Engineering or strong hands-on engineering background / technical apprenticeship pathway

* Proven track record in B2B technical sales, field sales, account management, or business development

* Strong commercial acumen with a hunter mentality and growth mindset

* Ability to sell value-added engineered solutions rather than compete on price alone

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

* Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organised

* Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM systems

* Full UK driving licence

* Willingness to travel across the North West territory

Highly Desirable

* Experience selling into manufacturing, automation, machinery, industrial, process, OEM, or engineering markets

* Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial applications

* Experience with specification sales / consultative solution selling

* Evidence of consistent overachievement against targets
