School Cleaner – Part Time
Location: Darwen, Lancashire
Salary: £13.22 to £13.75 p/hr depending on skills and experience
Hours: 10 hours per week term time only working Monday to Friday either afternoons 2pm-4pm or mornings 7.30am – 9.30am.
The Aurora Woodlands School is a 'Good' rated innovative provider of education and care, supporting students aged 10 - 19 with complex needs typically related to Asperger's Syndrome, Autism and other conditions.
We're currently looking for a Part Time Cleaner working Monday - Friday, term time only.
The Role:
Proving a cleaning service for the school across all types of rooms, including offices, classrooms, laboratories, halls, corridors, and toilets.
Key Duties:
* Duties to include the following:
* Vacuum cleaning floors.
* Spot cleaning of spillages.
* Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass.
* Emptying and cleaning bins (daily).
* Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds.
* Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces.
* Wiping, dusting, cobweb removal, polishing.
* Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc (daily).
* Undertake deep clean as and when required.
* Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work and ensure the building is secure on exit.
* Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time.

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
* Some knowledge of Health and Safety Regulation in regards to cleaning equipment and cleaning materials.
* Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team.
* Ability to work with minimum supervision.
* Ability to prioritise work and be flexible.
* Experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties.
