An established and highly respected precision engineering business within the aerospace supply chain is seeking a Planning & Estimating Engineer to join its commercial team. The company manufactures complex, high-specification components for leading OEMs and is recognised for its quality, reliability, and continued investment in advanced machining technology. Operating in a high-mix, low-volume environment, this is a key role bridging commercial and manufacturing functions, supporting the successful delivery of customer projects from enquiry through to production. Key responsibilities: Managing RFQs/RFPs, from small batches to large work packages Preparing accurate estimates and customer quotations Conducting contract reviews to ensure compliance with requirements Creating parts, BOMs, and route plans within the ERP system Processing sales orders and raising purchase/subcontract documentation Liaising with production, engineering, and quality teams Monitoring order progress and updating customers Supporting reporting through data analysis and performance metrics Key requirements: Experience within aerospace precision engineering or CNC machining Strong understanding of aerospace standards and manufacturing processes Experience in estimating, planning, or programme management Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills This is a central, high-visibility role offering the opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering business with ongoing investment and strong growth plans.
