Senior Therapeutic Practitioner - Young People Location: Olton, Solihull. My Client specialise in care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, taking a holistic approach to care. They ensure that all aspects of a young person's development are accounted for in order to inform our tailored therapeutic approach for them. Duties: To help support young people living within our therapeutic care home. To provide a safe, nurturing environment for young people to flourish. To promote health and well-being, education, positive relationships, independence, and activities in accordance with the children's homes regulations. You will implement boundaries and be consistent with the therapeutic care provided by the home for young people. To play a central role as a Key Worker in delivering high-quality, child-focused care, in line with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the Quality Standards, and Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018). You are responsible for the holistic support of a named young person, encompassing their care planning, emotional wellbeing, therapeutic engagement, and preparation for independence. Skills Required: You will have solid experience working in a Residential Children's Care home along with knowledge and experience of Safeguarding practices. An understanding and experience of working with young people with Emotional and/or Behavioural difficulties is required as well as the ability to work in challenging environments and leading excellence in care. Experience working in a therapeutic environment is highly advantageous. You will ideally be working towards your Level 3/4 Diploma for Residential Childcare.
