As a Test Technician you will oversee and manage the testing of all production assemblies. This is a hands-on role, requiring a deep understanding of cable assembly manufacturing, automated test equipment, electronic diagnostics and calibration procedures.
* Design and Develop ATE test programs and procedures to validate production assemblies
* Design, build and maintain custom test jigs and fixtures to support production testing requirements
* Conduct first off testing to verify both testing and manufacturing processes
* Diagnose faults down to component level
* Maintain test documentation including test specifications, reports and procedures
* Manage the calibration schedule of all production tools and equipment, ensuring traceability and compliance with all procedures is met
* Perform on-site calibration of tools and organise external calibration services as required
* Work closely with Engineering and Quality departments to continuously improve test processes and reliability
* Train and support production staff in the use of test equipment and tooling
Skills & Experience
* Excellent communication skills and ability to form relationships with multicultural colleagues (must have excellent written and spoken English skills)
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage own time and priorities
* Computer literate with good fundamental knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 workspace
* Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications.
