Document Controller, Cramlington
After celebrating recent success my Northumberland based engineering client is looking to grow their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a standardised and systematic approach to the retention and storage of all project related documentation. You'll also be responsible for liaising with both clients and internal stakeholders in addition to providing technical consultancy to all clients on project related issues.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
* Provide assistance to the project teams during the project lifecycle.
* Setting up jobs
* Monitor, record and file incoming and outgoing drawings & information
* Manage and control incoming client or 3rd party comments for documents, and distribute for implementation
* Manage distribution protocols accordingly in relation to each document issued via workflow
* Drawing and specification reviews
* Creating technical submittals & trackers
* Raising client RFI submissions & trackers
* Expedite the receipt, distribution, storage and retrieval of project design documents.
* Ensure that all data input and output activities are carried out accurately and in an efficient manner to meet deadlines.
* Produce and maintain project master document registers in conjunction with Project requirements.
* Handle drawing or information queries (including revision status) to support all disciplines.
* Submit drawing/document number requests to customer.
* Submit engineering queries to customer.
* Log and track the progress of IDC packs.
* Report on all outstanding and overdue project documentation generated by the all disciplines under direction.
* Provide support on project related formatting/ numbering of technical project documentation.
* Confer with document originators to resolve discrepancies on document quality including completeness, accuracy and compliance with established QA policies and procedures.
* Facilitate the management of Internal Quality System documentation- registration and revision tracking.
* Providing progress reports and attending weekly engineering meetings
Criteria:
* Experience of Document Control Systems with proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel and MS project
* Experience in multi-discipline projects would be desirable
