We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Account Manager to join our talented team within the Key Partnerships team As a Key Account Manager, you will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals and play a pivotal role in the evolving landscape of the Petplan business. Your primary responsibility will be to drive Petplan’s key partner proposition and expand our share of new business through strategic partnerships. Location: Home Based role About You Deliver Commercial Objectives: Shape the strategic direction for your assigned Partnerships within the team. Collaborate with the Partnerships Marketing and Field Sales teams to align marketing activities with strategic objectives, ensuring campaigns benefit both Petplan and its partners. Achieve partner-specific sales targets through traditional channel engagement and new partner distribution programs. Own key partner performance reporting and work closely with the Data & Insight team to understand and report on partner and campaign-specific performance. Collaborate with the Partnerships Manager to monitor and enhance key partner sales performance through analysis and acquisition activity improvement. Partner Relationships: Build and maintain a network of key stakeholders within the partnership, working alongside the Partnerships Manager and Head of Partnerships. Implement a structured partner management framework, including review meetings, MI provision, key contact matrices, and action logs. Develop and manage strategic joint partner plans to secure long-term business and highlight the strategic importance of partnering with Petplan. Ensure partner contracts are in place with a renewal program and maintain regular contact to ensure regulatory compliance and strengthen relationships across Petplan. Professional Development: Establish best-in-class sales competencies among internal and external stakeholders, focusing on core selling, persuasion, communication techniques, activity planning, and sales tool development. Continuously learn and develop new sales and marketing skills to optimize performance and achieve business targets for both partners and Petplan. Deputise for the Partnerships Manager as needed. Support other areas of the Partnerships and Pet Trading teams as required. Essential Skills Proven experience in account management and building strong client relationships. Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor and report on performance metrics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
