Job Role
Join us as a Volunteer Mentor within our Communities and Education Division. Our Resettlement Support Volunteers support staff in delivering projects that help participants, mainly men over 18, to reduce reoffending and build healthier relationships. Volunteers act as role models, offering support to help participants access services and develop skills for a positive lifestyle. We provide extensive training, paid expenses, and support from a Volunteer Coordinator. No prior experience is necessary; we value communication skills and empathy. Training covers safeguarding, mental health, substance misuse, and more. Location: North West.
The Communities and Education Division has received the Investing in Volunteers UK Quality Award, recognizing excellence in volunteer management.
Key Responsibilities
* Support participants with activities such as providing emotional and practical support, encouraging engagement, assisting with forms, and accessing resources.
* Report safeguarding issues immediately.
* Participate in supervision and training sessions.
* Promote Seetec’s values and ensure safety and professionalism.
* Encourage compliance with probation and license conditions.
