Proclinical is seeking a Clinical Data Manager to join a dynamic team focused on improving patient outcomes in cardiothoracic surgery. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing database onboarding, data curation, and ensuring data quality. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and healthcare institutions to support data-driven research and best practices. Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain data management and onboarding processes to standardize data collection and formats.
2. Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, and national societies across Europe to enable secure data transfers, validate data, and meet governance requirements.
3. Oversee the registration and setup process for new hospitals and users within the database systems.
4. Build and manage Microsoft Azure Synapse pipelines for hospital data onboarding.
5. Facilitate data collection, cleaning, and curation in collaboration with hospital data managers.
6. Support the development of data analysis reports and data dictionaries.
7. Ensure accurate mapping of hospital data into required formats and address data completeness or errors.
8. Generate annual and center-specific reports and follow up with participating centers to ensure timely data uploads.
9. Provide technical and customer support to database users, including researchers and surgeons.
10. Develop onboarding materials, presentations, and technical protocols for database use.
11. Liaise with technology partners to address user queries and inform database improvements.
Key Skills and Requirements:
12. Proficiency in programming languages such as Stata, R, Python, or SAS.
13. Experience with data management tools like SQL and Excel.
14. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Synapse or similar platforms.
15. Knowledge of international data standards and common data models.
16. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
18. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
19. Experience in report writing and presenting findings.
20. Background in health data management, healthcare systems, or electronic health records is preferred.
