What you’ll do on a typical day:
Create and maintain accurate transport plans, aligned to operational requirements and delivering agreed KPIs and SLAs
* Optimise transport hours and driver resources, including management of rotas, holidays and time & attendance exceptions
* Monitor performance and costs, producing accurate weekly finance and operational data to support decision‑making
* Proactively manage planning exceptions, escalating issues and resolving problems quickly to protect service
* Support peak, seasonal and multi‑site planning activity, demonstrating flexibility to meet changing network demands
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Experience in transport or planning, with a solid understanding of transport operations and planning principles
* Strong organisational and analytical skills, with high attention to detail and confidence working with numbers and performance data
* Confident communicator and effective team player, able to collaborate well in a fast‑paced, time‑critical environment
* Good IT capability, particularly in Microsoft Excel; experience with Ortec or similar transport planning systems is an advantage
* Flexible and mobile, with the ability to travel between sites (full UK driving licence required)
