We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Transport Manager to oversee fleet operations, compliance and driver performance, ensuring a reliable, efficient and fully compliant collection service.
The Role
The Transport Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the transport function, including route planning, fleet compliance, driver supervision and operational performance.
This is a key management position requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced recycling environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage a team of C/C+E drivers and drivers mates.
2. Ensure full compliance with all DVSA, Operator Licence and transport legislation requirements.
3. Oversee fleet maintenance schedules, inspections and defect reporting procedures.
