Our client is a highly respected engineering business operating within the tool making and mould/die sector. With advanced in‑house CNC and EDM capabilities, they manufacture, maintain, and repair high‑precision tooling to exacting standards. The Role
This is a true tool making position offering varied, hands‑on work. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for the build, assembly, fitting, and maintenance of complex tooling, ensuring all tools perform reliably and meet strict quality requirements.
About the Role
* £44,033.60 - £50,694.80 starting salary
* Permanent vacancy
* Night shifts – working 4×11 hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble, fit, and prove tooling components to specification
* Work on Injection Moulding & Die Casting Tools
* Carry out tool repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance
* Perform hand fitting, spotting, bench work, and precision alignment
* Diagnose tooling faults and implement effective corrective actions
* Collaborate closely with CNC and EDM departments
* Inspect and measure critical features to ensure accuracy and compliance
About You
* Time‑served Toolmaker or strong background in precision engineering
* Experience with mould tools, die tools, or high‑precision tooling
* Excellent fitting, bench, and problem‑solving skills
* Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Quality‑focused with a keen eye for detail
