Nurse Prescriber
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and motivated Nurse Prescriber & Medication Coordinator with an interest in neurodevelopmental conditions to join our team in Oxford.
Oxford ADHD & Autism Centre (part of the Clinical Partners Group) are looking for an experienced Nurse Prescriber & Medication Coordinator to offer remote and face to face appointments at our clinic on the outskirts of Oxford.
You will work within our multi-disciplinary team conducting ADHD medication clinics for children and adults. You will be responsible for assessing patients with an established diagnosis, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medication within the scope of your practice, all while collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary team. You will be crucial in providing advice and support to GPs, other relevant professionals and service users on ADHD medications and respond to parents’ queries by email or telephone.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess patients with an existing diagnosis and develop individualised treatment plans.
* Prescribe and review medications in line with your non-medical prescribing qualification.
* Initiate and titrate ADHD medication, managing other mental health treatments.
* Lead the coordination and response to the medications inbox.
* Provide follow-ups, medication reviews, and patient education.
* Liaise with GP's to implement shared care arrangements after titration.
* Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and records.
* Ensure adherence to safeguarding, GDPR, and clinical governance frameworks.
* Participate in supervision, team meetings and CPD.
Requirements:
To be considered you will need the below qualifications and experience:
* Sound understanding of ADHD treatment pathways and medication protocols.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, GDPR, and professional regulatory requirements.
* Comfortable with multidisciplinary collaboration and integrated care planning.
* NMC registered Nurse with a Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification (minimum 1-year post qualification).
* 3+ years' clinical experience post-registration.
* 1+ year working as an independent prescriber.
* Experience in mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.
* Familiarity and experience with ADHD medication management and titration.
* Level 2 safeguarding training or higher.
The role is offered on a full time basis, as a hybrid role, with the option of working remotely (in line with requirements of the service) and from our Oxford clinic Monday Friday 9-5.30pm.
