We are seeking an exceptional and motivated senior nurse to join our Health Protection Operational Service at a pivotal moment of innovation and development. Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the professional leadership, direction, management and governance of the Health Protection Operational Clinical Team including the specialist immunisation team within Cwm Taf Morgannwg.
- Support the Senior Management Team to ensure the highest standard of nursing care is provided, monitored, and evaluated within the areas of Health Protection and Vaccination.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical leads, specialist immunisation team, Public Health Wales, Service Manager, and administrative team in the planning, coordination and delivery of vaccine and testing programmes.
- Interpret national and health board policies and procedures and advise on their implementation for the Health Protection Operational Team.
- Be guided by professional, organisational policies and codes of conduct and be responsible for their implementation in the service.
- Support processes and audits to monitor the quality of care, clinical practices, incidents/claims, and professional registration.
- Undertake investigations of clinical incidents, complaints and professional issues following University Health Board Policy and act upon findings/recommendations.
- Work in a highly flexible manner to respond to changing clinical priorities; may require working weekends and bank holidays to provide 7‑day service when needed.
