A new and exciting opportunity to join a highly successful business as a Payroll Manager on a full time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process and all associated HR and payroll administration. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic input and detailed execution, ensuring the function operates efficiently, accurately, and supportively across the organisation.
Key Duties Will Include
* Take full responsibility for monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
* Prepare and process all payroll inputs including starters, leavers, changes to pay, bonuses, overtime, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), and salary deductions.
* Process payroll in-house using payroll software.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll data integrity.
* Reconcile payroll reports and submit monthly and year-end returns (e.g., P60s, P11Ds).
* Administer pension contributions (Aviva) and ensure compliance with auto-enrolment legislation.
* Deal with payroll-related queries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
* Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and HMRC guidance.
* Process leaver documentation and complete leaver checklist information.
Ideal Candidates
* A senior payroller or payroll manager
* End to end payroll experience
* Strong IT skills, experience of opera ideally
* High attention to detail
* Experience of managing pensions schemes
* Upto date with all payroll legislation
