Bid Manager – Passive Fire Protection & Fire Doors About Us London Fire Solutions (LFS) is a leading passive fire protection and fire door manufacturing contractor, trusted by major housing providers Established in 2011, we’ve grown from humble beginnings into a nationally recognised name, operating across London, the South Coast, and the Midlands. We manufacture our own fully certified fire doors from our 21,000 sq ft facility in Gillingham and deliver large-scale installation, maintenance, and compliance projects. With a strong order book, new business growth, and ambitious expansion plans through 2030, this is an exciting time to join our team. The Role We’re seeking a Bid Manager to take ownership of our tendering and pre-qualification processes, helping us secure major contracts and frameworks. You’ll be responsible for managing bids from initial opportunity through to submission, ensuring that each tender reflects LFS’s professionalism, technical expertise, and value proposition. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full bid lifecycle – from identifying opportunities to final submission. Coordinate input from operational, commercial, and technical teams to produce compelling, compliant tenders. Develop clear win strategies aligned with LFS’s strategic goals. Maintain and update bid libraries, case studies, and supporting documentation. Manage portals, frameworks, and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs). Track success rates and provide feedback to improve future submissions. Work closely with senior management to align bids with company growth priorities. About You: Proven experience managing bids/tenders, ideally within construction, compliance, or fire safety sectors. Strong writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. Excellent organisational skills – able to handle multiple deadlines. Commercially aware, proactive, and confident in liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
