Job Description
CDM is currently recruiting for Application Technicians for a client based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The application technicians are responsible for all final testing of systems after they are built. You will test fibre optic systems, electrical lines, hydraulic, and pneumatic lines using continuity testing to ensure all systems are functioning correctly throughout the product. Hydrostatic high-pressure testing will also be performed.
Up to 2 years of training will be provided covering various testing methods.
You will work in a heavy engineering environment that is very clean, modern, quiet, and slow-paced. The role offers a high degree of autonomy within a small team, as our client values independent working rather than micro-management.
This is a long-term agency role expected to last at least 4 years with consistent work. There may be an opportunity for permanent employment, but this is not guaranteed.
Basic salary: £42,328 (inclusive of shift allowance) / £20.35 per hour.
Shift Information
* Continental shift pattern, which does not involve working weekends. The slow pace and shift schedule provide an excellent work/life balance.
* Day shift: 6:45 – 18:45
* Night shift: 18:45 – 6:45
Ideally, candidates will have 5+ years of experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role.
If you are interested or require more information, please contact Lewis or Ashton at CDM or email your CV to [emailprotected].
