* Cable Route Engineering: Support the development of subsea cable route design, including desktop studies (DTS), route optimisation, geohazard assessments, and corridor selection in coordination with geophysical and geotechnical data.
* Technical Input & Design: Contribute to the engineering design of subsea cable systems, including CBRA (cable burial route assessments) studies, mechanical cable protection strategies, crossing design (e.g., pipelines, existing cables), and installation methodology selection.
* Survey Support: Liaise with survey teams during marine site investigations, ensuring relevant data acquisition meets project and engineering requirements. Provide offshore support when required for cable lay, burial, and inspection activities.
* Interface Management: Serve as a technical interface between internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and clients, ensuring clear communication and coordination of subsea cable design and installation aspects.
* Regulatory & Environmental Compliance: Support permitting efforts by contributing engineering input to environmental impact assessments (EIA), risk assessments, and regulatory submissions.
* Risk Management: Identify and assess technical and operational risks associated with subsea cable systems, and contribute to the development of appropriate mitigation strategies.
